1. Social worker in private practise.
(Working with whole families to mediate change or formulate plans to create positive communication for all the family members).
2. Statutory work in children’s court matters.
(Solutions to assist with successful outcomes in divorce mediation as problems can arise when the mediation is not affective which is often due to two angry adults, both legal teams and of course there are children involved. The two angry adults see "the lawyer from the other side” as a threat, however, social workers are trained to remain impartial, empathic, unbiased, non judgmental and most importantly are able to consider the entire families best interest when mediating a parenting plan).
3. Parenting plans in divorce mediation.
(This plan will have long term benefits to protect all the members of the family and the social worker will save the legal team the time in doing this).
(The free dictionary describes counselling as an art of exchanging opinions and ideas. I would add to that and say "what is more important than the state of your soul." My approach is simple, warm and optimistic.' The problem is not yours alone).
5. Family therapy/mediation.
(In my opinion and experience, working with the whole family unravels the depth of the problems in a meaningful and "fast track" kind of way! Building broken families is NOT impossible and well worth the effort).
6. Group work.
(R. Toseland and R. Rivas say that group work is goal directed and has many purposes, which allows a planned and orderly working environment to meet socio-emotional needs, which in turn becomes supportive to all of the group members. I believe by using this approach , group work becomes 'dynamic, powerful and therapeutic.' I facilitate groups for any age group and know for sure that employees or children at any organisation or school would benefit).
